This time of year here in Chicago, we take beauty wherever we can find it. Two days ago it was absolutely beautiful so I decided to treat myself to a rare visit to our local forest preserve. An unexpected blizzard in Albuquerque left my daughter stranded there for 2 1/2 days. This is one of the delightful snow sculptures she enjoyed.

Winter Scene From My Window

Winter is on its way. While I don't particularly enjoy winter in Chicago, I do appreciate the gorgeous view from my condo when the snow has just fallen.  If you look real hard, you will see the Victorian-style house across the street.
