Managing a condominium can be – well – let’s say, it’s a challenge.
But there are resources out there to help Boards of Directors to maintain their sanity. I normally don’t recommend many of those resources…some are better than others. But there’s a new resource that promises to be most helpful.
Check out… The Chicagoland Cooperator I got the first issue in the mail. I have no idea where they got my contact information but the issue is free and useful, so we’ll let that go. The newspaper is published by Yale Robbins Publications, LLC out of New York so I suspect that much of the information (outside of local advertising) will be pretty generic. The key topics in this premier edition are:
- Presiding over your Condo – The Toughest Job You’ll Ever Love
- Secrets of Successful Boards – What Makes Them Tick?
- New Kids on the Block – Orienting New Board Members
- Laying the Law Down – Enforcing Your Condo’s Rules.
I haven’t had the time to actually sit down and read the articles yet. That’s definitely on my agenda. But, I did go to their website to see what’s going on. It’s definitely a start-up and we’ll have to see where it goes from here. What’s cool is they offer both the printed newspaper and newsletter/Blog.
It’s easy to sign up for both options and it is free – certainly worth checking out.
