Ain’t life grand?
The greatest gift of all is being able to start a new day (or a new year). Think about it. With each new beginning we start with a tabula rasa — a completely clean slate.
The past is done. We aren’t going to be able to do anything about what’s gone before beyond learn from the experiences. But a new day — or a new year? Well…
We can make each new one anything we choose it to be. Of course, to make this new day (or year) better than what has gone before will take some doing. We may have to unlearn some old habits and figure out how to think for ourselves. And, we certainly will have to take action. But, if we apply a little imagination and effort to the clean slates that lie ahead of us, we can work miracles.
Will you join me? I’ll warn you, we’re not engaging in a spectator sport. We’re all going to have to pull our own weight. We don’t have to all do and think the same things like so many robots. We each can follow whatever course will make our individual corners of the world just a little bit better, cleaner and happier. And together we can turn this old world around.
How? What single change would you like to see happen in the time we have ahead? Smile more… waste less… get proactively involved more…. criticize less… You choose, but do something every day. Each effort will make a significant difference as we weave the cloth of a better, more peaceful world.
May we all enjoy many happy new days ahead – each one better than the last.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Just thought i would comment and say neat design, did you code it yourself? Looks great.
Hi, Cloe,
Thanks for your comment. Yes, I do all my own coding and design…although I did start this blog with a basic template that allowed customization.
I wish more people would write blogs like this that are really fun to read. With all the fluff floating around on the net, it is rare to read a blog like this instead.
