Spring showers and flowers are always welcome in Chicago.

These daffodils are a bit droopy right now because of the rain we’re getting. It will be Saturday before they stand up tall but they’re no less welcome. The brilliant yellow offers a welcome relief to the drab overcast and rainy days we’re enjoying right now.

I particularly appreciate this stark reminder that no matter how dreary things might appear at the moment we have a lot to be thankful for.

Now’s the perfect time for planning how we’ll spend those glorious sunshiny days when they arrive in their full glory. But we don’t need to wait, When the drizzle lets up, pop outside for a brief look around and enjoy.
