Statue of Liberty Inscription
Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses, yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door.
Author: Emma Lazarus
I wonder….do we need to tear down the Statue of Liberty? Or blot out the inscription? Or, at very least, amend it to eliminate all those undesirables that are currently being discriminated against?
Are we still the land of the free and the home of the brave?
