Some of us have lived through some of the most momentous days of America’s history – even as far back as the tail-end of World War II. Through this nearly a century and a half America has been taken to its 
knees amidst tragedy and challenges. And each time we’ve come out having grown just a little bit better…a baby step closer to the ideals America was built on.
But never before have we endured four long years of absolute terror and devastation tearing at our very souls as we have from 2017 to 2021. So many Americans have buckled and lost their way…as a society we have splintered till we’re almost unrecognizable as a proud country. When all seemed most hopeless, you stepped forward and accepted challenges none of us could have imagined. I can’t think of anyone better to meet the challenges you do today.
We can finally look forward with courage and hope and you leading the way. It’s going to be a grueling fight as you pull us up by our bootstraps. We’ve forgotten so much. It’s going to take all the courage and determination you can muster to deal with the broken society you see before you on this Jan 20th. Thank you for accepting the challenge.
